More than 500+ FPOs from across the country will participate in Samunnati’s FPO Conclave to be held in Hyderabad

New Delhi – 02/09/2024: Samunnati, a leading agri-value chain enabler, is set to host its 4th edition of FPO (Farmer Producer Organization) Conclave at Hyderabad, Telangana, on the 3rd & 4th of September 2024. This year’s theme centres on “Sustainable agriculture solutions”, aiming to empower small-holder farmers and agribusinesses across 20+ states with the presence of 500+ FPO representatives while driving innovative, eco-friendly solutions for the sector.

 

The event has garnered significant national attention as the Hon’ble Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare and Minister of Rural Development, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan will be virtually addressing the FPOs representatives and the agri-tech stakeholders at the inaugural function.

 

The event will be inaugurated in the presence of chief guest Mr Faiz Ahmed Kidwai, Additional Secretary, Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India, and special guest Shri M. Raghunandan Rao, Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Telangana. Representatives from NABARD and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FPO) will also be present to share their insights on fostering a sustainable agricultural ecosystem in the Indian agricultural landscape.

 

The FPO conclave will feature an impressive lineup of prominent Agri-tech industry players, including Olam Agri, Bayer, Farmers One, Credit Access Life, Bioseed, Indofil Industries, Accel Sine, Villgro, and many others, making it a powerhouse gathering of innovators and thought leaders in the agricultural sector.

 

The event takes place at a pivotal moment for India’s agricultural sector. In recent years, the government has highlighted the crucial role of FPOs in tackling the challenges faced by both traditional and sustainable farming practices. Additionally, it has called for increased financial support to strengthen these organizations.

Through these two days of interactive engagement, esteemed FPO representatives and thousands of farmers come together to discuss, learn and exchange dialogues on the feasibility and practicality of enabling sustainable agriculture practices that aim towards a sustainable India.
