Renowned Vastu Consultant Manoj Jain calls for celebrating ‘Jain Meal Day’ on Mahavir Jayanti

New Delhi (India), August 12: Internationally renowned Vastu Consultant, energy expert and social worker Manoj Jain has called for celebrating ‘Jain Meal Day’ every year on Mahavir Jayanti to spread the principles of Jainism, non-violence, restraint and satvikta to the new generation. He was addressing a program organized by Jain Trade Organization (JITO) in Ram Vihar, Delhi. He said that collective satvik feasts, diet related workshops and ‘Ek Thali Sanyam Ki – Ek Sankalp Samaj ke Liye’ campaign will promote health, environment and social values.

Manoj Jain said that in today’s busy and unbalanced lifestyle, satvik food is like a natural medicine, which makes the body healthy, mind calm and thoughts pure. If people adopt Jain values in their lives, then many social and personal problems can be automatically resolved.

He said that this initiative of the society will help in increasing awareness about food and instilling good values. Its aim is to promote satvikta among children and youth. He said that by adopting Jain values in daily life, people can solve many of their problems naturally. Apart from this, it can also help in strengthening community bonds and religious unity. On this special day, the entire Jain community – families, institutions, temples, trusts and youth groups, are urged to come together and consume pure, satvik Jain food without garlic and onion.

Manoj Jain suggested that on Mahavir Jayanti, mass satvik feasts should be organized in temples, diet workshops for children and youth should be organized and ‘Ek Thali Sanyam Ki’ campaign should be run on social media. If every family takes a pledge to eat satvik food just one day a week, it will not only improve personal health but can also bring positive change in the entire society. He said that ‘Jain Meal Day’ is not just a pledge of food but a collective step towards compassion, self-discipline and environmental protection, which reminds us that food is not just a means to fill the stomach but a power that guides our thoughts, feelings and actions.

Manoj Jain said, “For the next generation, we can leave a new tradition and a strong cultural heritage. This is both our duty and privilege. To achieve this, we have to spread the slogan of ‘Ek Thali Sanyam Ki – Ek Sankalp Samaj ke Liye’ to every citizen.”
